QL2 Centre for Youth Dance
QL2 Centre for Youth Dance in Canberra has an 11 year track record of excellence in youth dance. It is the home of Quantum Leap: an auditioned, elite youth dance ensemble.
We offer a training program for dancers in QL2 projects, aimed at filling the gaps in existing skills and preparing you for the requirements of the commissioned choreographers.

Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes early to register and pay your class fees!
The 2009 schedule includes:
- Contemporary Technique - Junior (8 to 14) and Senior (15 to 26)
- Classical Technique - basic ballet for those who have not had a high level of technique training
- Stretch and Conditioning - to build strength, flexibility and alignment.
- Licence to Move - to encourage boys into dance. Based in contemporary dance with various movement forms like martial arts, gymnastics, physical theatre and hip hop, these classes provide a masculine environment to explore dance as a creative expression. The Junior Licence to Move program (ages 8 to 14) is in weekly classes with a male teacher. The Senior Licence to Move (ages 15 to 26) will be run in 4 week blocks with special guest teachers - dates tbc.
Cost
Full term class fees are due upfront at the beginning of each term - equivalent to $12 per class.
Or, you can pay $15 per class casually.
You also need to pay a once off $30 yearly membership fee.
If you've never been to QL2 before, you can do your first class for only $10 - no membership fee.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the class if you need to pay.
