You can contribute to the site in a number of ways. Put Yourself on the SiteYou can send us information on something you want added to the site. Information that will help is listed below. Send this information to us using the Contact Us form. For a show, class or other event you are involved in:
For your festival, dance company, organisation or unofficial group:
You can also send details for any websites, books, magazines and journals, TV and radio shows and films that relate to Australian contemporary dance. Get InvolvedYou're also welcome to help with any aspect of the website. Listed below are some areas where you can help but please don't let the list limit you if you just want to become involved. Go to the Contact Us form to let us know what you want to do. Content gatherers: In particular we're looking for people around Australia who are keen to gather content for the website. This is a good opportunity to meet others involved in contemporary dance in your community and to establish connections with dance artists. It can also involve hours of fun searching through the Internet for those hidden gems, or just watching So You Think You Can Dance on YouTube. Content publishers: For those who want to learn how to add content to a website using the latest content management tools. Add another string to your bow and help the dance community at the same time. Full training is provided and assistance is always available. Content creators: The website is a forum for people to express their views and everyone is encouraged to leave comments in the space provided at the bottom of every page. We're also setting up areas for people to write their own reviews and make other contributions to the site. You could write a dance theory article or video an interview with the artistic director of your local dance company. There is no limit on what can be added to the site. Programmers: If you love dance and sitting at a computer cracking code then there is plenty for you to help out with. In particular we are looking for front-end (CSS/HTML) and back-end (PHP/MySQL) programmers to help with customising the CMS and the many modules which make up the site. The website is run by volunteers for the dance community and the general public. |
